Kari Samantha Wührer (born April 28, 1967) is an American actress and singer, mostly credited as Kari Wuhrer, sometimes as Kari Salin. Wührer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (née Noble), a payroll accountant, and Andrew Wührer, a police officer and car salesman. She has three siblings. As a teenager, she sang in nightclubs, sneaking out of the family home to perform. Wührer began studying acting at the age of 13 at the Wooster School. She studied drama at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Marymount Manhattan College, Columbia University, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London with famed teacher Uta Hagen.

Tujuh film asing dijadwalkan syuting di beberapa wilayah di Indonesia pada 2011, kata Plt Dirjen Nilai Budaya, Seni, dan Film, Kementerian Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata, Ukus Kuswara. 

Ukus di Jakarta, Selasa (31/6) menjelaskan, tujuh film asing itu di antaranya berasal dari Amerika, Eropa, dan Australia. 

Sementara itu, Direktur Film Direktorat Nilai Budaya, Seni dan Film, Kementerian Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata, Samsul Lusa mengatakan, lokasi syuting yang dipilih berada di hampir seluruh wilayah di Indonesia. 

"Lokasi syuting yang akan mereka datangi di antaranya Bali, Raja Ampat, Papua, dan sejumlah wilayah di Jawa dan Sumatera, dan banyak wilayah lainnya," katanya. 

Namun demikian, Syamsul belum mendapatkan bocoran bintang terkenal yang akan berperan dalam film-film tersebut. 

"Belum ada bocoran namun yang pasti akan lebih heboh dari film Eat, Pray, Love yang mengambil syuting di Bali," katanya. Artis dalam film Eat, Pray, Love yang syuting di Bali diantaranya Julia Roberts dan Javier Bardem. 

Menurut Syamsul banyaknya negara sahabat yang tertarik untuk syuting di Indonesia menunjukkan bahwa keindahan Tanah Air telah terkenal hingga ke mancanegara.

BET menyatakan pihaknya akan tetap memutar video tersebut karena sudah ada "serangkaian standar dan petunjuk komprehensif yang diterapkan kepada seluruh isi tayangan kami". 

Televisi musik MTV di Amerika belum memutar video itu. 

Mereka menambahkan, video Rihanna "sesuai dengan seluruh standar dan aturan dan diizinkan ditayangkan." 

Penyanyi dari Barbados berusia 23 tahun itu menyatakan, dia tidak berniat membuat video yang kontroversial. Dia hanya ingin memperlihatkan kemampuannya berakting.
